Stephan established Help AG ME in 2004 and has overseen the company’s phenomenal growth to date. Today, he is leading Help AG to further increase the organization’s investment, business activity & partnerships across the MEA region.
Prior to Help AG, Stephan successfully built several businesses from scratch focusing on value creation, scalability and sustainability. Before moving to the UAE, he worked as the Managing Director of NOXS / RISC Technology across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Nicolai Solling is the Chief Technology Officer at Help AG Middle East. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing Help AG’s professional services, support services, and technical vendor management across the region. In addition to overseeing technical services and solutions delivered in the market, he is also involved in coordinating the enablement of teams and making sure they are good at delivering the technologies Help AG takes to market.
Since joining the company in 2008, he has successfully grown the technical team by more than 200% and has been heavily involved in the design, deployment, and operation of some of the most challenging network and security infrastructures for enterprise customers across a variety of industry sectors.
Nicolai has been in the IT and network industry for over 20 years. He is one of the most well-known names in the industry thanks to his in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies combined with his vast experience in security solutions, integration as well pre-sales and design. He is a great speaker and has been part of multiple distinguished panels and keynote sessions both regionally as well as internationally. As a thought-leader, he has authored numerous publications on various trends and topics in cybersecurity.
Prior to joining Help AG, Nicolai worked as a Systems Engineering Manager for Juniper Networks in the Nordic region. He has also worked with Cygate Denmark and Cisco earlier.
The love for technology caught Nicolai quite early in life; he had found his passion at the age of 8, when his family got its first X86 PC machine.
Solling hails from Denmark and is based in the UAE with his beautiful wife and two adorable kids. Off work, Solling combines his passion for technology and cooking by bringing in gadgets not found in the average kitchen, such as NO2 Siphons, Smoke Guns, Sous Vides, Pressure Cookers and a Thermomix.
Soeren attended Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany in 1996 for computer science. While still in university, he founded Help AG in 1995 together with Christian Lumperda. Help AG was quickly established as the most successful ISP in the region. In 1999 Soeren and Christian partnered up with another local provider and focused Help AG’s business solely on Security for the Internet access – firewall installation and network security concepts.
From 1995 up until 2001, Soeren assumed the role of technical consultant for Help AG and also worked as a trainer for several firewall vendors. With the company’s success in wining several significant German customers in 2001, he focused purely on the professional organizational development of the company.
In 2007 Soeren took a chance to bring Help AG business to a new level by transferring the shares to one of the world’s largest technical service organizations – TÜV Rheinland. In the following 3 years he merged TÜV’s service portfolio of assessment services and Help AG’s implementation and operations services. This merging process resulted in establishing a new corporate brand in the market – TÜV Rheinland i-sec GmbH with over 100 consultants and turnover of more than $30 million.
In 2011, after finding and recruiting his successor for TÜV Rheinland i-sec GmbH, Soeren moved to Help AG’s Middle East office as a Chief Operating Officer to use his organizational experience to secure the company’s growth and foster expansion into more territories across the Middle East.
Frank joined Help AG as Finance Manager in January 2016 and was promoted later on to serve as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. In this role he oversees a wide spectrum of Finance functions from financial systems to strategic partnering with the senior management team in making decisions affecting company’s growth, operations and improvements in financial reporting.
Frank has been in the accounting and finance industry for over 10 years. He is passionate about developing the financial well-being of the company by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans and directing staff. In Help AG, he created a real and active partnership with both operations and management. This allowed him as a company executive to formulate actionable plans to achieve the company’s objectives.
Prior to joining Help AG, Frank worked as Finance Manager in Standard Chartered Bank-SCH leading the Finance function of the sales distribution channel of the retail banking division. Earlier, he was with Mace Macro International as Management Accountant and with Deloitte where he started his professional accounting career. Frank is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Montana and a qualified Certified Management Accountant (CMA) by the Institute of Management Accountants based in New Jersey.
Christian founded Help AG in 1995 together with Soeren Kroh. Help AG was quickly established as the most successful ISP in the region. In 1999 Christian and Soeren partnered up with another local provider and focused Help AG’s business solely on Security for the Internet access – firewall installation and network security concepts. From 1995 up until 2004 Christian took a role of a senior technical consultant of Help AG and also headed the consulting team.
In 2004 Christian relocated to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and founded a branch of Help AG (Help AG Middle East FZ-LCC) in Dubai, thereby establishing the business in the Middle East. He moved to Dubai in 2005 and enlisted the support of Stephan Berner and Nicolai Solling to focus on business development and the regional expansion of the company. Help AG Middle East has consistently posted between 50% to 130% year-on-year growth ever since.
Christian has worked in technical and managerial roles on various customer projects and won numerous awards for his work. Christian also used his extensive network of industry contacts to bring many new technologies into Help AG Middle East’s portfolio that were previously not available in the region.
