Help AG, Excitor Partner To Target Mobility
Under the deal, help AG will offer the DME software solution from Excitor, which helps organisations mobilise mail and applications within a secure container on a wide range of devices.
Bring-your-own-device (BYOD) is fast becoming one of the key trends in the Middle East IT market, said Stephan Berner, managing director at help AG. “The Middle East has always been an early adopter of technology and this definitely holds true for the enterprise mobility market. We have been approached by a number of our customers who are eager to implement BYOD but have genuine concerns regarding the security of such devices. Currently most enterprise mobility solutions focus on device and application management on the mobile endpoint but lack information security features as they do not offer separation between private and corporate data,” said Berner.
Berner added that DME employs a unique sandboxing, or containerised approach which clearly compartmentalises corporate data from personal files. “Through AppBox, Excitor’s application mobilisation platform, enterprises now have the flexibility to create and deploy secure business applications which increase employee productivity beyond simply using the device to access company email,” he said.
He said the agreement with Excitor significantly strengthens our partner portfolio in the mobile technology industry and we look forward to making a big impact on the market with this solution.
Alison Henderson, vice president, Sales and Marketing, Excitor, said: “help AG is a well established and highly trusted security adviser and integrator in the region. At Excitor, our growth strategy has always been to partner with firms that add compelling value for the end-users, particularly in the security space. The security inherent in DME is a perfect fit with help AG’s existing security offerings and we look forward to a long and successful partnership with them.”
